Sandi's Bean & Pellet Bread

2 cups pellets
1 banana
5 eggs (washed with shells)
1/2 cup cooked carrots
1 cup cooked beans
2 cups cornmeal
2 tbsp. baking soda

Mix first 5 ingredients in blender or food processor. Add beans and blend. Pour into large bowl; add cornmeal and baking soda. Add water if too dry. Bake at 325* in a 13 x 9 pan. Cool on wire rack. Cut into squares and freeze.

Optional:   Bake as muffins and when cool dump into a freezer bag.

Birdy Buddy Pancake Mix

1-1/2 cup pancake mix
1-1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
3/4 cup ZuPreem cockatiel pellets
1/2 cup dark raisins
1/2 golden raisins
3/4 cup chopped nuts
1 medium sweet potato, cooked until soft

Place sweet potato, milk, oil, honey, and egg in blender and blend until smooth. Pour into mixing bowl and gradually add pancake mix, raisins, nuts and pellets.

Pour batter into frying pan or griddle and turn when the tops are covered with bubbles and the edges begin to dry.

Makes about 20 pancakes. Freeze extras in zip-locks to thaw and microwave later.

From our breeder:  Corn Pancakes with Cranberries

1 pkg. Martha White or Jiffy Mix Cornbread Muffin Mix
2 cups fresh cranberries

Skim Milk and/or egg according to package directions of brand your using.

Mix cornbread muffin mix according to the directions on the package, adding only enough milk t produce the desired batter consistency. Add the cranberries before pouring batter into a lightly oiled skillet and fold in.

Alternative: &nabsp;

2 pkgs. cornbread muffin mix with appropriate amounts of egg and/or milk
1 can cream style corn
2 cups pecans or walnuts

Mix both pkgs. cornbread muffin mix with creamed corn if appropriate. Add skim milk to desired batter consistency, then fold in nuts before pouring batter into a lightly oiled baking dish.

Store extras in a zip lock and freeze for later.
